Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What areas do you provide domiciliary care services in?
AVEC Support Ltd provides professional domiciliary care and home care services in the UK, supporting individuals in their own homes. We work with private clients, Social Services, Local Authorities, NHS referrals, and those receiving Direct Payments.
If you are unsure whether we cover your area, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss availability.
What is domiciliary care?
Domiciliary care (also known as home care) is support provided to individuals in their own homes to help them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Our services include:
Personal care at home (washing, dressing, medication prompts)
Companionship and emotional support
Domestic assistance
Rehabilitation support after hospital discharge
Live-in care services
How do you create a personalised care plan?
Every service begins with a comprehensive care needs assessment carried out by a Senior Care Worker or Manager.
We complete:
Care Needs Assessment
Risk Assessment
Health & Safety Check
We then develop a Person-Centred Care Plan in partnership with the service user, their family, and relevant professionals. No care is delivered without informed consent.
Do you provide live-in care?
Yes. AVEC Support Ltd offers Live-In Care Services, where a trained care professional stays in the service user’s home to provide ongoing support.
We ensure:
Structured rota arrangements
Regular staff breaks
Continuity of care
Flexible support tailored to individual needs
Live-in care allows individuals to remain safely in their own homes rather than moving into residential care.
Do you provide complex or palliative care?
We provide complex care and palliative support for individuals with long-term or intensive care needs.
We work closely with:
Families
NHS teams
Social Services
Other healthcare professionals
While we do not provide nursing procedures such as injections or medical treatments, we deliver high-quality supportive care within our regulated activity.
Can you help after hospital discharge?
Yes. Our rehabilitation and post-hospital discharge care supports individuals who may feel vulnerable or weak after leaving hospital.
We assist with:
Safe mobility
Personal care
Meal preparation
Medication prompting
Emotional reassurance
Our goal is to help individuals recover safely at home and regain independence.
Do you offer respite care?
Yes. We provide respite care services to give family carers a much-needed break.
Respite care can be:
Short-term
Regular weekly support
Emergency cover
This ensures continuity of care for your loved one while protecting the wellbeing of family carers.
Who can use your services?
Our service user base includes:
Frail elderly individuals
People with long-term medical conditions
Individuals recovering from hospital stays
People requiring rehabilitation support
Individuals with terminal illness
Those needing companionship and practical support
We support adults regardless of age, race, religion, gender, or sexuality, promoting equality and dignity in all aspects of care.
What services do you not provide?
While we are flexible, there are some tasks we cannot assist with, including:
Gardening (unless as part of an activity)
Furniture lifting or heavy removals
Working at heights
Technical specialist tasks
Nursing procedures (e.g., injections, medical treatments, dispensing medication)
We are happy to discuss any specific requirements to clarify what we can provide.
